The Mediterranean’s fish, its stories and the problems it faces will be the focus of Slow Fish 2009, to be held April 17-20 in the Genoa Fiera’s new Pavilion B, designed by Jean Nouvel and facing the sea.
Come shop at the Market, and explore our local gastronomic traditions at the Taste Islands and Seafood Osterias
Slow Food Presidia will describe products and production methods to be discovered and protected, while in-depth discussions of topical issues will take place during the Water Workshops. At the Enoteca, you can taste the best wines to pair with seafood, and at Street Food and the new Fishwiches area you can find out how even fast food can also be good, clean and fair.
Taste education plays a vital role in this latest Slow Fish event, with workshops, meetings and courses for children and adults, cooking demonstrations by great chefs and tips on everyday shopping. Education is the cornerstone of Slow Fish, as represented most concretely by the Fare’s Fair campaign. Good practices of conscious and intelligent seafood consumption mean you can make choices that are tasty, economical and good for us and our seas.
